USA Songwriting Competition 2022 – Five Little Pirates is one 10 Finalists in the Children’s Song Category! It is from my album Captains and Sea Monsters. It is one of several of my songs that references numbers and math – the others are Seven C’s, Eight Pieces of Eight, and Nine Lives of Lucky (the Buccaneer Cat). The starting point for 5LP is a take-off on This Little Piggy. The musical arrangement is Irish Jig meets Reggae-light, concocted by myself and my Music Producer Andre Maquera.
